POLICE: Driver Thought Teen's Replica-BB Handgun Was Real

A Highwood teen was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police stopped a car that he was riding in for “suspicious circumstances,” police reports said.

Police said that a driver observed Cameron Goodwin, 18, of Highwood, handling what appeared to be handgun around 8:55 p.m. March 8. This alarmed the driver, who called police.

The car was stopped near the intersection of Mulbetty Place and Oakwood Avenue. The gun turned out to be a BB-replica of a handgun, reports said.

This arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
