Body of Missing Person Gloria Godinez Found in Willowbrook

Update: 9:24 p.m.

Willowbrook police have confirmed the body found around 4:10 p.m. today in the 400 block of Plainfield Road has been identified as Gloria Godinez, who went missing Sunday.

Godinez, 66, was last seen going into Five Seasons Health Club at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. She had left her home in the Waterford subdivision on foot.

A Willowbrook officer found her body near a fence in a bushy part of Plainfield Road during a missing person search, according to a news release.

Police do not believe there is any threat to the community related to the death of Godinez. Willowbrook police and the DuPage County Coroner’s Office will continue to investigate.

Plainfield Road has reopened to traffic.

Plainfield Road is closed near South Madison Street for the police investigation, according to reports on the Waze live map and Chicago Traffic Report.

A body has been found along a road in Willowbrook.

Willowbrook police were not immediately available to confirm or answer questions, but a person within the department said there is an investigation taking place at this time.

WGN reported police have not yet identified the body, but they don’t suspect foul play.

There is no word yet if this investigation is connected to the 66-year-old woman who went missing Sunday. Gloria Godinez was last seen going into the health club at Madison Street and Plainfield Road.
