LifeSource will celebrate hockey—Chicago style—by hosting blood drives for fans of the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Wolves on March 22 and 25, respectively.
Simultaneous Chicago Blackhawks blood drives will take place on Saturday, March 22, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel Oak Brook, 1909 Spring Rd., Oak Brook, and The Westin O’Hare, 6100 N. River Rd., in Rosemont. Chicago Blackhawks’ mascot, Tommy Hawk, will meet fans and pose for photos at both hotels.
Blood donors will receive raffle tickets for autographed Blackhawk items—including tickets, hats, pucks and authentic jerseys. LifeSource will then team with the Chicago Wolves for a blood drive on Tuesday, March 25, from noon –7 p.m. in the Allstate Arena’s Skyline Room. The first 150 participating donors will receive a Chicago Wolves t-shirt and hat.
Several Wolves’ players will meet fans and sign autographs, including Jani Hakanpaa and Sebastian Wannstrom (1-2:30 p.m.), Cody Beach (3-4:30), and Evan Oberg and David Shields (5-6:30 p.m.).
Participating donors will get a VIP tour of the team’s locker room. There will also be random drawings for tickets to a Wolves game in April.
Participating LifeSource donors who use the code RS20 at any donor center or Wolves Blood Drive will be eligible to win a unique, game day VIP experience with the Chicago Wolves. Along with hosting daily blood drives, LifeSource operates 19 community donor centers and fixed sites with regular operating days and hours.
