Bank of America extended its gratitude to the Homewood Police Department and South Suburban Emergency Response Team, for their hand in arresting three robbery suspects.

The ordeal started with the armed robbery of the bank's branch at 183rd Street and Governors Highway, and resulted in a four-hour standoff in a condominium complex near the bank. “It was a team effort by not only the Homewood Police Department but many departments in the surrounding communities,” Deputy Chief William Alcott said. “It was a great response by all agencies in the area.”
