Lenny's Rt. 66 Faces Lawsuit From Customer
The lawsuit was filed last week at the Will County Courthouse on behalf of customer Samuel Robinson.

JOLIET, IL — A Chicago Heights law firm has filed a lawsuit against Joliet's Lenny's Rt. 66 Fuel Stop on Route 53 in connection with a slip and fall incident inside the convenience store two years ago.
Plaintiff Samuel Robinson retained lawyers from Cifelli, Scrementi & Dore to file his Will County lawsuit last week. The lawsuit seeks a judgment of more than $50,000 from Lenny's Rt. 66.
According to the court records, Robinson was lawfully on the premises of Lenny's on Sept. 2, 2018 "when he did suffer injuries ... due to a defective condition on the premises ... uneven and or bunched up rug, causing plaintiff to fall and be injured."

Robinson's lawsuit accuses Lenny's Rt. 66 of negligence and creating a dangerous situation for customers.
"Plaintiff Samuel Robinson suffered injuries and damages of a personal, pecuniary and permanent nature including by not limited to: torn right medial meniscus tear, aggravation of medial compartment arthritis requiring injection therapy," his lawsuit states.

"He was prevented and hindered in his daily activities including his employment, suffering lost income and incurred and expended large sums of money in ... seeking medical attention to be cured of his injuries," the Chicago Heights lawsuit argues.
Attorneys representing Lenny's Food N Fuel have not filed their response to Robinson's negligence suit.
