Update! Lockport Man Found Dead in Car at Bottom of Essex Lake
The dead man was found in a car submerged in a South Wilmington Sportsmen's Club lake.

A person involved in the investigation said 65-year-old Timothy Lepper’s death appears accidental. We have yet to hear back from Ken Kaupas.

A Lockport man was found dead in a car at the bottom of an Essex lake.
Timothy Lepper, 65, was pronounced deceased shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Lepper was pulled out of a South Wilmington Sportsmen’s Club lake, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.
The sheriff’s department was handling the death investigation. Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas, a department spokesman and head of the investigations division, did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
