St. Joe's Summer Picnics Begin This Weekend In Joliet

Near Theodore and Raynor Streets, St. Joe's Park is one of the best places to visit for weekend family fun.

JOLIET, IL - If you've lived around the Joliet area over the years, you know that venturing over to St. Joseph's Park on Sundays during the summer time is a time-honored tradition. There's great ethnic food. There's plenty of cold beer. There's kids games. There's live music, Polka bands and of course, there's the bingo. Last summer, this Patch Editor tried his luck at a few games of bingo inside the hall during one of the church picnics, but he was not successful. Will this year be any different? Probably not.

Now to the news: the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish recently posted its summer picnic schedule. The fun begins in just a couple weeks with Wags 2 Wishes holding its picnic event on Sunday, June 17.

The following Sunday, June 24, will be the St. Joseph Parish Homecoming.
