LA GRANGE PARK, IL – An older white man's body was found earlier this week deep in the La Grange Park Woods, an official said Wednesday.
The body was discovered Monday in the general area of Brainard Avenue and 31st Street, said Carl Vogel, a spokesman for the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
The man has not been identified. A preserve employee found his body, and the preserve's police force is leading the death investigation, Vogel said.

The agency brought in a biohazard service for the cleanup, Vogel said. The site has now been cleared.
The body was found in a state of decomposition, according to the agency. It appeared the man was living there, with a tent in the area, Vogel said.
