Adventist Hinsdale Hospital’s 16th Annual Memorial Garden Planting and Walk will take place from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the hospital, 120 N. Oak St. in Hinsdale.

The event is organized by the hospital’s Still Missed Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Parent Support Program. The program supports families who have experienced pregnancy loss.

“Parents who experience a loss can find it a very difficult experience,” said Rosmarie Roose, R.N., coordinator of the Still Missed program. “Our annual planting and walk provides families a chance to share their grief with one another and to connect with their baby.”

The day will begin with attending families gathering in the hospital’s fifth floor regional board room for a family memory activity. This will be followed by a walk to remember and a garden planting.

Families are welcome to bring white geraniums for planting at the event. Flowers will also be provided.

To RSVP for the event, call the Still Missed office at (630) 856-4497.
