, was voted the Scouts' Most Valuable Player after gaining more than 1,200 yards while the Scouts finished 8-3, captured the North Suburban Conference (NSC) Lakes Division title and advanced to the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs.

The Shrine all-start game features the state’s 80 best athletes to compete against each other while raising funds and awareness for Shriners Hospitals for Children. This year's game will be played at Illinois Wesleyan University's Tucci Stadium.

Williams, a two-time all NSC choice and an all-state pick as a senior, will play for the West all-stars coached by Cory Bilema, the head football coach at Morrison High School.

The game began in 1975 when the Bloomington Shrine Club and the Illinois Coaches Association (ICA) joined forces to hold an all-star football game to help advance the mission of Shriners International, a fraternity committed to providing care to children and families in need.

The week-long event will give players the opportunity to connect with the cause on a more personal level. Williams will visit the hospitals’ Chicago location, meeting patients and hearing their stories. Game week also includes a formal banquet for the players and their families, a barbecue with the Shriners, and a parade in the community before kickoff at 6:30 p.m. July 14.
