Lake Forest Teachers Release Final Offer, Board Decries Tactics

A week after union declares impasse, the educators release an overview of their final offer and the Board criticizes teachers’ methods.

Lake Forest Teachers Release Final Offer, Board Decries Tactics

The Lake Forest Education Association (LFEA) teachers’ union released an overview of its final offer to the Lake Forest High School District 115 Board of Education Friday and the Board responded by criticizing the educators’ methods as well as some of their information.

The LFEA set forth its overview in a news release from spokesperson Chuck Gress and the Board reacted to the information by issuing a statement to Patch a few hours later.

Rather than distill the language of the parties positions, Patch has published both the entire release and the Board’s response as attachments to this article so those interested can read the two statements side by side.

The next mediation session between the two sides is Thursday.
