LFSA Team Ranked 4th Nationally

The U14 team with players from all around the north suburbs is riding an 18-game unbeaten streak.

LAKE FOREST - The Lake Forest Soccer Association U14 Girls Select team is ranked fourth nationally after a 6-0-0 mark during a weekend tournament in Las Vegas last month that increased the team’s unbeaten streak to 18 games.

The team was paced by goalkeeper Sophia Divagno and defenders Alyssa Marquis, Sarah Bires, Quinn Sokol, Nicole Doucette, Emily Paton and Paige Copeland in the six victories against other top-ranked teams at the Vegas Cup Soccer Tournament over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. The team only gave up a total of five goals in those games.

During the streak, the team has won 16 games and tied two.

The team has members who hail from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Northbrook, Evanston, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Geneva, Barrington and Libertyville.
