I am writing to discuss the positive impact the Montgomery Referendum could have on our village.
I am very active within my community, I started my neighborhood watch program in Blackberry Crossing West and my sole purpose is to keep the aesthetics of our village as well as safety.

Being able to fix our roads every 20-25 years as opposed to every 71 years, will not only keep our roads looking good but help with safer travels.
My concern is if this referendum is not passed, our roads will continue to deteriorate. This would allow for safer passages for everyone who drives on the streets of Montgomery, and better property values.

This referendum is only asking to increase the sales tax by 1.0% on certain items, i.e. alcohol, tobacco, cleaning supplies, gas and car parts to name a few. This will take the burden of maintaining our roads off the Citizens of Montgomery and on to all who
travels through and shops in Montgomery.
I am encouraging and asking for everyone who lives in Montgomery, to vote YES on November 4, 2014.
As adults we need to ensure we do not pass this burden onto our children, so please take the time on the 4th of November and go and vote. Vote YES for the Montgomery Referendum.
