Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois (GSNI) offers a variety of summer camp sessions, including day and overnight camp, at Camp Dean in Big Rock, Illinois. Camp Dean is open to all girls—not just Girl Scouts—in grades 1–12. Since girls select their own experiences in Girl Scouts, they can choose to limit their participation to camp enjoyment! Girls do not have to join a troop. Financial assistance for camp is available to registered members of GSNI. To view the 2014 Camp Guide or register for camp, visit www.girlscoutsni.org. Registration is open for:
July 9–11/Grades 3–5/$150 per girl
July 20–25/Grades 5–7/$260 per girl (longer session)
Come to camp for the adventure—stay for the food! Grab a whisk and mixing bowls; this session is going to be delicious! In addition to swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, try new campfire recipes and develop skills as an outdoor chef.
