Kelmscott Communications Names Kathleen Cross as Executive VP and COO of KelmscottEDU

(Aurora, IL) Feb. 1, 2016—Kelmscott Communications announces the appointment of Kathleen Cross, Ph.D. to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of KelmscottEDU, the higher education division of Kelmscott Communications.

“Kathleen has been a valued team member of KelmscottEDU since she joined us four years ago as enrollment consultant and senior strategist,” said Scott Voris, president and CEO. “Using a data-driven approach, she has led our consulting and strategy efforts, handling everything from enrollment and retention consulting, search strategy development, market/institutional data analysis, and strategic messaging/marketing.”
Over the years, Cross has worked with KelmscottEDU’s college and university partners to develop effective student search, admitted student campaigns, melt reduction campaigns, and several other enrollment and marketing projects to meet or exceed their enrollment and retention goals.

Cross brings significant higher education and technology experience to KelmscottEDU. Prior to working at KelmscottEDU, she served in many leadership positions including vice president of enrollment, chief technology officer, and dean of studies abroad at The American College of Greece, director of usability at Fire Engine RED, and director of medical programs at Qualia Computing, a biomedical/technology company she helped found and part-owned. She has also held several other administrative and teaching positions at colleges and universities including Saint Louis University and California State University.
Cross holds a doctoral degree in higher education administration from Saint Louis University along with master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati and California State University. She also currently serves as a professor in the Higher Education Administration Graduate Program at Bay Path University and is a frequent national speaker and published author.
“In her new role, she will lead the KelmscottEDU strategy and operations as we continue to enhance our client experience, develop new and relevant products and services, and build new partnerships with colleges and universities around the nation,” stated Voris.
