The Naperville Police Department is conducting an investigation of a suspicious incident at a local bank in Naperville.
On May 28, two subjects entered the bank and identified themselves as employees of a telephone carrier/company. They stated that they had an appointment to “convert” the telephone lines from the old system to the new system & then attempted to gain access to the room containing the telephone lines and computer equipment to perform the work.
It was verified that the subjects were not with the stated company and were denied entry. They left the bank; however, no vehicle was seen.
Local businesses are reminded to verify the legitimacy of anyone attempting to gain access to protected areas of their business.
The subjects were not carrying any paperwork, tools or equipment. Anyone having or needing information is encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department immediately.
The suspects are described as:
- Subject 1: male, white from 25 to 35 years old; 5’07”—5’10”; average build, dark wavy/curly hair and no facial hair. Well dressed in dark suit coat, dark dress slacks, white dress shirt and dark tie.
- Subject 2: female, black in her 30s; 5’03”-5’06”; medium/average build, relaxed/permed dark, medium hair. Complexion, well dressed in business-type suit, blouse, low heels, and carrying a Coach purse.
