Naperville Schools, Hospital Saying No to Pokémon Go

Watch where you're going if you're on the hunt.

NAPERVILLE, IL — If you’re walking around Naperville looking for Pokémon to catch, you need to watch out where you do it, not just for your own safety, but because some businesses might not want you there.

Edward Hospital is one of them.

"We are in the process of requesting that Edward-Elmhurst Health's main campuses – Edward Hospital in Naperville and Elmhurst Hospital – be removed as 'Pokemon Go' locations," Edward-Elmhurst Health spokesman Keith Hartenberger told the Tribune.

In addition to the hospital, Naperville School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 20 have blocked the game from their district network.

"That means that students can neither download from nor play 'Pokemon Go' on our district network, nor on any district device," District 203 spokeswoman Michelle Fregoso told the paper. "Other than this action, we have not addressed the game further. That may change should it become an issue."
