Milk Tanker Rollover Slowed I-80

NEW LENOX, IL - The Illinois State Police say that one driver suffered injuries and is being hospitalized following a rollover involving a tanker truck on Monday morning. The incident happened on westbound Interstate 80 at mile post 142 near Maple Road around 6:30 a.m. State police say the tanker veered off I-80 and overturned into the right ditch. The tanker was carrying milk products which spilled into the ditch afterward.

The right lane of I-80 going west remained shut down as of late Monday morning, the police said. At 11:40 a.m., Illinois State Police sent out a media advisory announcing that all lanes of traffic along I-80 are now back open.
