Joliet Man Allegedly Breaks into Hospital Coffee Shop: Blotter

THURSDAY, MAY 16

Aggravated Assault Charge

Andrew Chambers, 19, of the 700 block of Brockwood, New Lenox, was charged with aggravated assault, according to a report. An officer was called at about 4:03 p.m. to the area of Bently and Lake for a report of an assault. Chambers is accused of making a threat while displaying a knife.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

Retail Theft From Walmart

About $70 worth of merchandise was stolen from Walmart, located in the 500 block of East Route 30, according to a report. The theft happened at about 6:10 p.m.

Joliet Man Charged With Burglary

Keith Richards, 41, of the 900 block of Summit, Joliet, was charged with burglary, according to a report. Police were called at about 4:05 a.m. to Silver Cross Hospital in reference to a burglary. Richards is accused of forcing open the doors to the coffee shop.

SUNDAY, MAY 12

Park Forest Driver Faces DUI Charge

Michael Taylor, 25, of the 200 block of Lee, Park Forest, was charged with driving under the influence and failing to dim lights, according to a report. He was stopped at about 4:31 .am. near the intersection of Joliet Highway and Spence. Police allegedly found him to be under the influence of alcohol.
