Thief grabs name for tax return
Police are investigating an identity theft complaint filed by someone from the 2500 block of Kingsway Avenue. Someone used this taxpayer's name to file an income tax return.
DUI and no insurance
Saren Henshaw, 45, Plainfield, was pulled over in the 700 block of East Maple Road when officers noticed her driving erratically. She was issued a ticket for DUI and for driving an uninsured vehicle.
Two ticketed for driving on suspended licenses
Timothy Goodman, 19, of the 200 block of Hancock Drive, was pulled over at Nelson and Spencer Roads, after a registration check revealed his license had been suspended. He was cited for both a suspension and registration violation.
Jamie Capers, 40, Fort Wayne, IN was stopped at Veterans Parkway and Maple Street when a random registration check showed his license had been suspended.
Driving with no valid license
Luis Zamudio, 27, Joliet, was stopped by police at Route 30 and Interstate 80 when a registration check came back with information that his license was invalid. He was cited for no valid license, no valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Criminal damage to property
Someone called police to the parking lot at Walmart in the 500 block of E. Lincoln Highway to complain that a vehicle had been damaged.
