Near Late-Night Bar, Drunk Urinates On Home's Lawn

Residents have been complaining for months about bar patrons peeing on their lawns, making noise late at night and filling all the parking spots.

Near Late-Night Bar, Drunk Urinates On Home's Lawn

On Oct. 20 just after 11:10 p.m., a 72-year-old Niles woman who lives in the 6800 block of Harts Road reported that a man parked illegally on Franks Street, exited his Nissan SUV, walked towards her shrubbery and urinated. The woman approached the man, who she said appeared intoxicated, but he left and walked to a bar in the 6900 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Police attempted to find the man inside the bar but did not.

Parking signs on the woman's street mandate resident parking only during the listed hours.

The victim indicated this is an ongoing issue and requests this incident be documented as a matter of record. Police issued the man's vehicle a citation for violating a no parking sign.

Daughter complains mother abusive to her

When Niles police responded to a 911 call Oct. 21 just before 9:20 p.m. in the 8300 block of Normal, a 24-year-old woman told them her mother had been verbally abusively toward her, they said. The woman said she must eat certain foods due to a health condition, and she was trying to take some groceries and leave the house, but her mother prevented her, according to the report. She said her mother is mentally abusive but she is forced to live with her for financial reasons, police said.

The mother, 52, told police the daughter had gotten angry and tipped over some chairs in the dining room, which police observed, they said.

The daughter said her mother was calling her crazy and said she needs treatment for her anger issues, according to police. The daughter's father arrived and she took her clothing and some food items and left the residence. Police issued domestic violence forms.
