Group Steals Meat from Store

Two men were also picked up on active warrants in Northbrook.

Group Steals Meat from Store
The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Meat theft

A group of offenders left a store in the 4100 block of Dundee Road with a grocery cart containing a large amount of meat at 6:30 p.m. May 18. The offenders were confronted by an employee about a receipt but they continued towards a burgundy van and started to load the merchandise into the van and left the parking area. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the van

Warrant arrest

Officers stopped the vehicle driven by Joel Arenas-Quiroz, 30, of Waukegan at Cardinal and Sanders at 9 p.m. May 15. The officer learned his license was suspended and that he had an arrest warrant out of Lake County. He was released on $35,000 on the warrant charge and $1,500 on the driving with a suspended license charge and given a June 17 court date.

An employee at a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported that two subjects were in the store acting suspiciously at 1 p.m. May 19. He reported that when he approached them they fled the store in different directions. Officers responding to the store located one subject, Krzysztof Kwiecien, 34, last known address unknown, in Williamsburg Square Park.  Officers determined that he had an active warrant from Skokie police. He was arrested on charges of retail theft and on the warrant and released on $25,000 bond.                                                                  

Driving with a suspended license

Jason S. Stroubler, 29, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation at 11 p.m. May 15 at Dundee and Oakleaf. Officers learned that his driver’s license was suspended. He was released on $1,500 bond with a June 17 court date.

Miguel A. Bravo, 36, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation at Waukegan and Walters at 4:30 p.m. May 17. Officers learned that he was driving on a suspended Illinois driver’s license. He was released on $1,500 bond with a June 25 court date.
