Initiative Highlights Awareness, Prevention of Heart Disease in Women

Initiative Highlights Awareness, Prevention of Heart Disease in Women Initiative Highlights Awareness, Prevention of Heart Disease in Women Initiative Highlights Awareness, Prevention of Heart Disease in Women
It's not yet February, but we think it's worth it to spotlight heart disease as the number one killer of women -- and we'll have one doctor once hailed as Oprah's cardiologist and another world-renowned cardiologist pioneering the way in biomedical research in Israel to tell you about it.

The Heart to Heart: Every Beat Counts benefit dinner will serve as the Hadassah Chicago-North Shore kick off to inform area women about the lesser-known symptoms of heart disease, prevention and cutting-edge research.

We are excited to welcome Annabelle Volgman, MD, FACC and Medical Director, Rush Heart Center for Women, who was recently hailed in the Top 100 Women of Influence by Today's Chicago Woman Magazine and has been featured as Oprah's cardiologist; and Professor Chaim Lotan, MD, FACC, director of The Heart Institute at Hadassah Hospital and Head of the Israeli Cardiology Association in Jerusalem. Tammie Souza, award-winning meteorologist from Channel 32 Fox News here in Chicago is our Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.

Heart to Heart: Every Beat Counts will take place 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Skokie. For tickets, for more information or to donate, please call us at 847-205-1900 or email chicago-northshore@hadassah.org.
