Man Fatally Stabbed in Oak Forest

The stabbing was the result of a domestic violence situation, police said.

OAK FOREST, IL — A 33-year-old man was fatally stabbed Thursday in Oak Forest after what police called a domestic violence situation, according to a press release.

Christopher E. Orth, of Oak Forest, was found around 11 p.m. stabbed multiple times in the 15100 block of Chaucer Drive. A suspect and a witness were also on the scene. Orth was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

“While the investigation is ongoing, this appears to be an isolated incident stemming from a domestic violence situation,” said Deputy Chief Dominic D’Ambrosio.

The suspect is in custody and charges are pending. An autopsy is scheduled for today, February 19, at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Further information is pending a review by the Cook County State’s Attorney Office is completed.
