FRIDAY, AUG. 3

Driving on a Suspended License

Gregory Carter, 32, of Chicago was charged with driving on a suspended license after a random plate check by police in the 4100 block of West 95th Street found his license had been suspended for failing to pay parking tickets, police said.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 1

Retail Theft

Victor Page, 46, of Chicago was charged with retail theft when he walked up to the electronics section of KMart, 4101 W. 95th St., picked up a 24-inch television set, valued at $229.99, and left the store, police said. Video surveillance caught Page and security followed him out to the store where he was detained and questioned by police.

Driving on a Suspended License

Steven Alexander, 38, of Chicago was charged with driving on a suspended license after a call of a suspicious van led police to a strip mall in the 10800 block of South Cicero Avenue where he had pulled in, police said. Police questioned Alexander and found his license had been suspended.

Illegal Possession of Liquor

Timothy Linane, 19, of Oak Lawn was cited for illegal possession of liquor by a minor as he was caught for having a can of beer in his front right pocket and several more in a plastic bag, police said.

Driving on a Suspended License

Jose Vazquez, 26, of Stickney was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic accident in the area of 95th Street and Cook Avenue, police said.
