By Brian Slupski

The trial for an Oak Park man charged with beating a man in downtown Naperville is set to start Wednesday,  the Daily Herald reported.

Paul Magee, 26, is charged with aggravated battery. In May, Magee pulled over in downtown  Naperville to let his passenger out to urinate, Patch previously reported.

A man walking by commented on what was happening and police said Magee took offense. Police said that Magee got out of the car, approached the man and attacked him.

Naperville Police Sgt. Lou Cammiso  said in May that Magee was charged with aggravated battery, a felony, because of the severity of the attack and the injuries the man received.
