Romantic Getaway Explodes Into Orgy Of Violence When Spurned Wife Shows Up At Essence Suites: Cops
An Indiana woman followed her estranged husband to the Orland Park Essence Suites, talked her way into the room he was sharing with his new girlfriend and attacked him as he lay in bed asleep, police said.

The woman, 39-year-old Adrianna Maneno of Crown Point, was charged with domestic battery in connection with the incident at the LaGrange Road  "romantic getaway."

A police officer sent to the Essence Suites reportedly managed to separate Maneno and her estranged husband, John Maneno. The officer then smelled a "strong odor of an alcohol-based beverage" on Adrianna Maneno and noticed that when she talked was "slurring her words and was visibly upset, sometimes speaking calmly and sometimes raising her voice," police said.

Adrianna Maneno told the officer she was "only there to take photographs of her husband cheating for divorce court," police said. "Maneno then became even more upset as she continued to try to enter the room to take photographs on her cellular telephone. She eventually put her phone away."

The officer then went into the hotel room and spoke with John Maneno.

"He advised that he and Adrianna have been in the process of divorcing for approximately a year," police said.

"He and his new girlfriend came out for a night at the Essence," John Maneno reportedly explained to police, but about 6 a.m. "his wife entered the room where (he) and his girlfriend ... were asleep and attacked him. She began to scratch him on his neck and chest, leaving deep cuts and scrapes. John was able to push Adrianna away and call 911."

The Essence Suites desk clerk then reportedly told police how Adrianna Maneno hoodwinked her into coughing up a key for her estranged husband's room.

The 29-year-old woman reportedly told police Adrianna Maneno showed up at the front desk about 5:45 a.m.

"Adrianna advised the night clerk that she had left the hotel room she was sharing with her husband, John Maneno, to get some items from a nearby store, and being from Indiana and unfamiliar with the area, got lost," police said.

"Adrianna advised (the clerk) that Adianna had lost her room key," police said. The clerk "tried calling the room but no one answered the phone. After trying to contact the room for approximately five minutes with negative results, (the clerk) gave Adrianna a room key. A short time later, (she) observed police pulling into the parking lot."
