Security Guard Finds Candymen in Orland Mall Distasteful: Cops
Two Evergreen Park teens selling candy in the Orland Square Mall had a run in with the cops.
The teens—Javaris Hyde, 19, of 9136 Sacramento Ave. and Chaz Nocentelli, also 19, of 2945 91st St.—were cited for allegedly soliciting without a permit.
A security guard spotted the teens peddling candy on the mall's upper level and confronted them. Hyde and Nocentelli told the guard they "were not selling candy, just eating it," police said.
The guard then ordered Hyde and Nocentelli to leave and they "stated they were going to kick his ass," police said.
A police officer caught up with Hyde and Nocentelli after they left the mall and made it out to the parking lot.
"Javaris was cooperative the entire time," police said, but "Chaz became agitated and began disrespecting (the officer). Chaz told (the officer) to come to his street and (said the officer) is a 'punk ass bitch,'" police said.
The officer asked Nocentelli for his phone number but "Chaz could not provide one and gave more attitude to (the officer)," police said. The officer "advised Chaz to calm down and to be quiet."
After the two teens were ticketed, "Chaz continued to talk back to (the officer) while he exited the mall," police said. "Javaris went on his way without incident."
