'Sorry' Chicago Woman and 2 Accomplices Stole More Than $2K in Clothes From Orland Park Macy's: Cops

The cops recovered the stolen clothes from an SUV, police said.

A sorrowful Chicago woman repeatedly apologized for stealing more than $2,000 worth of clothes from the Orland Park Macy’s police said.

Yue Huang, 34, wasn’t alone in the heist, police said. She was helped by two other Chicago women—Caichang Li, 57, and Shunai Li, 55. All three were charged with felony retail theft.

A Macy’s security guard spotted the three women taking “numerous items of clothing and jackets,” and leaving the store without paying for any of it, police said.

The guard reportedly detained Huang and Shunai Li and asked them where the third woman went.

“Yue spoke very little English but was able to understand that loss prevention wanted to speak with Caichang as well,” police said, so she made a phone call and her accomplice returned to the store.

“Yue kept saying, ‘So sorry, so sorry,’ numerous times,” police said. She reportedly handed the keys to a Toyota Highlander over to police and an officer recovered the stolen clothing from the SUV.

The total take was worth $2,055.21, police said.
