Oswego Blotter: Garage Damaged by Shotgun Blasts; Man Accused of Shoving Woman Out of Car

April 19

Kendall County Sheriff's police are investigating a report that an unknown person filed a tax return using the personal information of a man from unincorporated Oswego, police said.

Someone damaged the siding on a garage, garage trim, metal halide housing and an aluminum garage vent at a home in the 5300 block of Route 34 with what police believe to be No. 7 bird shot from a shotgun, according to Kendall County police. Estimated damage is $450.

Oswego police said a driver collied with a goose near Route 34 and Kendall Point Drive, police said. The driver was unhurt, according to police reports.

Nicole V. Plum, 40, of the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery, was arrested by Oswego police at the Shell gas station, 160 Douglas Road, and charged with trespassing, police said.

April 18

Freddy Marquez, 21, of the 600 block of Jefferson, Aurora, and Veronica Carranza, 22, of the 300 block of New York, Aurora, were arrested by Oswego police at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, and charged with retail theft, police said.


April 17

David Rico Acevedo, 31, of the 100 block of Woodlawn Drive, Plano, is charged with battery and theft stemming from allegations he battered a 20-year-old Oswego woman by pushing/pulling her out of a car and throwing her onto the ground, according to Kendall County Sheriff's police. Acevedo is also accused of stealing a purse and Air Jordan hoodie from a 20-year-old Aurora woman. Police said the purse was later found, but was missing $60 cash and an iPhone. 

Francine Patton, 24, of the 100 block of Quinsey Lane, Yorkville, was arrested by Oswego police and Kohl's, 2500 Route 34, and charged with retail theft, police said.

Jessica Jensen, 35, of the 100 block of Route 30, Oswego, was arrested at her home by Oswego police and charged with domestic battery, police said.
