Oswego East Students Headed to Vegas for ACT-SO Competition
Submitted by Oswego School District:

Two Oswego East High School (OEHS) students will travel to Las Vegas to compete in a national ACT-SO competition July 17-20.

Senior N’Crai Pittman and junior Ebony Graves were among 16 local winners of the DuPage County NAACP’s ACT-SO awards in March. Pittman won in the medicine and health category, and Graves won in the music vocal contemporary category.

ACT-SO stands for the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics. It is a year-long enrichment program designed to encourage high academic and cultural achievements among students of African American descent. The program features three components: mentoring, academic enrichment, and competition.
