Oswego Mayor Breaks Tie to Defeat Golf Cart Proposal
Village of Oswego trustees voted 3-3 on a proposal for a pilot program that would have allowed people to drive golf carts on public streets.

Village President Brian LeClercq voted no to break the tie and defeat the proposal, according to the Beacon-News.

Trustees Trustees Gail Johnson, Terry Michels and Pam Parr voted no, while Tony Giles, Judy Solinger and Scott Volpe voted in favor of the plan.

The proposal called for the use of golf carts only in the Hunt Club subdivision this summer and from May 1 to Oct. 1, 2014.
