For their annual math and reading night,  held on Oct. 16, Hunt Club Elementary drew inspiration from the one-year anniversary of the short film "Caine's Arcade."

The video features a 9-year-old boy, Caine, as he constructs an arcade out of cardboard and other odds-n-ends over the course of the summer.

The Imagination Foundation hosted a "global cardboard challenge" by inviting people/organizations/schools to participate to "foster creativity and entrepeneurship in kids" through creations using cardboard and Hunt Club joined the challange.

Helen Koh, a fourth grade dual language teacher at Hunt Club, said that in addition to the night's fin stations that foster core skills and strategies in math and reading, the students created an arcade to show off their creativity and to share with their family and friends.

Special thanks to Helen Koh for the information and the photos.
