A 22-year-old Fremd High School graduate  was killed last weekend when he crashed his motorcycle in California, according to media reports.

Alexander Mackenzie Williams, who was currently lived in Escondido, Calif., died following a two-vehicle crash near the Del Mar Fairgrounds shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Fox 5 San Diego.

Fox 5 San Diego reports William was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control, swerved into oncoming traffic and was thrown from his motorcycle, which then crashed into a Toyota Sedan. He died at the scene of the crash.

Williams was a member of Fremd's Auto Club and played the trumpet in the school band. He loved the White Sox and had a passion for working on cars, according to his obituary.

"(He) could frequently be seen in town driving his beloved two tone cream and tan 1980 Camero," according to his obituary.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway in Palatine. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, according to his obituary.
