Body Found Inside Burning Vehicle in Palos Hills: Cops

PALOS HILLS, IL — Police are conducting a death investigation into a body that was found Monday morning in Palos Hills. Deputy Chief Traci Hlado, of the Palos Hills Police Department, would only comment that the discovery is an “active death investigation.”

The body was found in a vehicle by Pleasure Lake near 108th Street and Roberts Road. Hlado said only one car and one individual appear to be involved. Pleasure Lake is an 8.1-acre stocked fishing hole.

“We do not have any identification of the subject involved at this time,” Hlado said via email. “It does not appear to be a crash.”

A witness sent a photo showing scorched ground beneath what was is believed to be from the burning vehicle.
