Two men wielding a gun forced a Plainfield pizza restaurant employee to turn over $2,000 in cash late Sunday night, police said.

The suspects approached the employee as he/she was leaving , 11830 S. Route 59, at about 11:40 p.m., Detective Sgt. Kevin McQuaid said in a media release. They produced a gun, ordered the employee back into the store and forced him to open the safe, McQuaid said.

The first suspect is described as a black male standing about 6-foot-2 and weighing about 215 pounds. The second was a black male standing about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet and weighing about 200 pounds. Both were wearing black hooded jackets and had red bandanas covering their faces.
