The Friends of Plainfield Academy will hold their tenth annual pancake breakfast at the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce Expo on Saturday, March 29.
Volunteers will serve pancakes and sausage from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Plainfield High School-Central Campus field house, 24120 West Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield. The Expo will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the field house.
The Academy is District 202’s alternative school. The pancake breakfast is the Friends of the Academy’s primary fundraiser of the year. Tickets are $5.
Donations from the event benefit Academy students in the form of clothes, holiday gifts, financial support for families in crisis, student incentives, and our Academy sports programs, Plainfield Academy Principal Tod Schnowske said.
All of the money made from the breakfast is donated directly to the students of Plainfield Academy in the form of incentive programs, vocational programs and student service support programs.
