Kuusakoski Storage Building Destroyed in Fire: Official

A storage building housing cardboard, computer components and TVs was a "total loss" after a fire Saturday afternoon at Kuusakoski Recyling, Plainfield Fire Protection District Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton said.

Firefighters responded to the blaze just after 1:30 p.m. at the metals and electronics recycling facility, 13543 Lincoln Highway in Plainfield.

Stratton said the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no one was injured. He estimated the loss at around $90,000.
