Sept. 12

Someone entered the property at Vulcan Materials, 22933 W. Hassert Blvd., and stole two copper welding leads with an estimated worth of $555 each, Will County Sheriff's police said. A company truck was also damaged when someone attempted to pry off the handles to gain entry, police said.

Sheriff's police said someone damaged the glass cover of an electric meter at a home in the 2400 block of Emlong.

Someone dumped a fill mixture of clay, stone and concrete onto a driveway at the entrance of Oak Park Sportsman's Club, 14732 SW Frontage Road, according to Will County Sheriff's police. The mixture caused damage to the swinging cast-iron entrance gate.

Sept. 13

Manuel Chavez, 20, of the 6000 block of Colton Ridge, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 10:37 a.m. at Renwick Road and Spanglers Farm Drive and charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license, police said. Bond amount was $1,500.

Sept. 14

Someone attempted to steal a stereo out of a vehicle in the 20000 block of Barrington Lane and did steal a backpack containing a laptop, according to Will County Sheriff's police.

Sept. 15

James McCulloch, 24, of the 24000 block of Mathews Court, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 2:01 a.m. at Fort Beggs Drive and Route 59 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. Bond amount was $100.

Sept. 16

Jeffrey Walsh, 21, of the 24000 block of West George Washington Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. at a business at 24402 W. Lockport Street and charged with theft under $500. Bond amount was $120.

Sept. 17

Someone threw a limestone rock through a window at Lakewood Falls Elementary, 14050 S. Budler Road, according to Will County Sheriff's police.
