The Shorewood police rounded up four teenagers and hauled them down to the Will County jail where they were booked on burglary charges Tuesday.

Tremaine Perry, 17, of 1124 Redwood Lane in Minooka, Aaron Lee, 17, of 26149 Raintree Court in Channahon, Khiry McKinley, 18, of 1458 Crowfoot Lane in Minooka, and Antonio Cuevas, 18, of  26309 Riverbend Road in Channahon, all were in custody at the county jail where they had been processed by Tuesday afternoon.

Police Chief Robert Puleo could not be immediately reached for comment regarding the charges facing the four young men.

In January, Shorewood police Cmdr. Aaron Klima said the village had been plagued by a series of burglaries. Puleo later said that there actually had not been all that many break-ins.

The police have not reported any burglary activity since releasing a statement in March about a string automobile break-ins.

At the time, the police revealed that 14 parked cars were burglarized in a single night in early March. The police have said nothing about the burglary spree since.
