Longtime Hotel Building Demolished on Skokie Boulevard

Plans for a new three-building shopping center that will include a Chick-fil-A in its place.

The building that was most recently a Rodeway Inn was met with the wrecking ball over a period of a few days recently, according to the Skokie Review.

The building in the 9300 block of the street was originally a Howard Johnson’s, later other hotels or motels and most recently the Rodeway Inn. It has been demolished to make room for a shopping center that will have a Chick-fil-A, Bank of America and AA Car Auto Service on 2.5 acres at Skokie Blvd./Emerson St./Gross Point Road.
