Rewind Con Is Coming!

Back in the 1990’s, one of the big questions for women was Brandon Walsh or Dylan McKay. From November 11-13, the ladies won’t have to choose, because Jason Priestley and Luke Perry will both be at Rewind Con. They will be joined by “90210” castmates Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, James Eckhouse and Gabriella Carteris.

The fun is just getting started with the “90210” mini-reunion. Joining them are many other actors and actresses from the 80’s and 90’s and beyond, in what is shaping up to be a fantastic weekend of television nostalgia.

Over 60 actresses and actors will be appearing at Rewind Con. Alan Thicke, Michael Gross, Zach Galligan, Parker Stevenson, Jeremy Miller, Tristan Rogers and Tracey Gold are just a few stars from the packed lineup. We have enjoyed their work for many years, watching their careers progress. We may have grown up watching them, but they are still going strong.

Rewind Con isn’t limited to stars of yesteryear though. Many current favorites will also be appearing, including the “Boys of Port Chuck,” including Steve Burton, Bradford Anderson, Scott Reeves and Brandon Barash. Not to be outdone, Melissa Archer and Melissa Reeves will be representing the “Ladies of Days.”

Rewind Con doesn’t end with just these acting favorites. They are bringing in some members of popular music bands. Members of Nsync, the Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees will be appearing.

I can just list everyone and each name would bring a great memory. How about Mark DeCarlo? James Eckhouse? Doug Savant? James DePaiva? These and the rest are great names from our past (and present).

I first heard about Rewind Con with the announcement of Melissa Archer’s appearance. When I looked at their site, I was blown away by the star-packed lineup. To my surprise, the list kept growing. I immediately marked my calendar. A successful con for me is seeing a handful of my favorites. Rewind Con has so many on my “wish” list that I will need a plan to make certain that I hit them all. My “must see” list is literally at least 20 deep and will take some logistic maneuvering, but it will be worth it to see all of them. I can honestly say that every name on the list is recognizable, which is unusual for such a large convention.

Like most celebrity conventions, there will be professional photo opportunities, along with table selfies. (For those who are selfie-challenged, you can always find someone there to snap your photo.). There will also be other events, such as panels.

As an added bonus, Rewind Con is being held at the beautiful Hilton Indian Lakes Resort. In addition to Rewind Con, the resort also has a driving range, a golf course, hiking trails, a tennis court, a video arcade and more. I am considering making this a weekend stay over, even though I don’t live that far away.

Rewind Con is about a month away. Now is the time to start planning your time there. Rewind Con is going to be special!
