Cops Seek White Nissan Involved in Huge Overnight Crime Spree

A Skokie police officer was injured Wednesday morning during a chase involving multiple stolen vehicles.

Skokie, IL - Police in Skokie are looking for a 2005 White Nissan in connection with an early Wednesday morning crime spree that resulted in multiple vehicles being stolen and an injury to a Skokie police officer.

Police say they were first called around 12:44 a.m. to the 5300 block of Harvard Terrace, where six black men were reported to have been attempting to open car doors.

During the crime spree, a 2005 White Nissan Pathfinder SUV with the license plate H595187 was stolen and spotted by police near Oakton Street and Park Avenue. A red minivan stolen from Chicago was following the Nissan and crashed into a Skokie squad car, injuring the officer, according to police.

The driver of the Nissan got away when police were attending to the crash involving the minivan.

The officer was taken to Skokie Hospital, but is expected to make a quick, full recovery.

Police arrested two of the suspects after a brief foot chase and later a third who was found on foot on Lockwood Avenue, where another fleeing suspect stole a Volkswagen Touareg. That car was located on the South Side of Chicago where the offender was arrested.

The white Nissan and the three remaining suspects are still at large. They are described as black men and are possibly juveniles, according to police.
