ELGIN, IL - A fire at an Elgin car dealership Sunday night caused $40,000 in damage, according to preliminary damage reports.
Firefighters were called to Biggers Chevrolet at 1385 E. Chiago St. at 7:20 p.m. where they found flames coming from the roof of the car dealership, according to the Chicago Sun-Times and a fire department press release. The fire was quickly put out and fire officials said the car dealership’s sprinkler system helped prevent the blaze from spreading.
