Man Trespassing at Mental Health Center Vows to do it Again

A local man was recently found trespassing on the grounds of the recently closed mental health center with his two sons. One of them is blind, he told police, and prefers to avoid high-traffic areas.

When cops stopped a repeat offender who was illegally walking across the grounds at the last week, he told them he'd return the next day.

issued a local ordinance citation around 11:50 a.m. Aug. 7 to a 39-year-old local man who was found crossing the property of the at 7400 W. 183rd St., . He had his two children in tow, according to the report.

The man told police his son was legally blind and prefers to avoid walking down major roadways, they said. A security guard at the center told police he had warned the man several times before and said he, "not only disregards the warnings, but uses expletive language against state security."

After receiving the notice, the man reportedly told police he'd be back on the property the next day "to prove a point."
