7th Annual "A Christmas Carol"

The Beginnings Drama Team of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 10 S. Lake St., Mundelein, IL, presents its seventh annual “A Christmas Carol,” Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 4-6. As people arrive for the show, they will be welcomed into a Dickens Village including holiday lighting, street scenes and 19th century Christmas music. The sanctuary will be magically transformed into a theater space where the sites of 19th Century London will come to life. The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future will carry Scrooge, along with our audiences, through a story of transformation that brings hope to all.
Charles Dickens’ play is adapted and directed by John and Wendi Kelly, Grayslake, IL, and features many north suburban actors, including Bradley Belletynee, age 8, of Round Lake, IL, in the role of Tiny Tim. Tom Koch, Vernon Hills, IL, stars as Scrooge. Both are reprising their roles, which received accolades from full-house audiences.
The cast includes: Audrey Hamil and Samantha Hamil of Druce Lake, IL, Gavin Belletynee, Shawn Belletynee and Michael Zimmermann of Round Lake, IL; John Kelly and Tim Mivelaz, of Grayslake, IL; Bob Adams, Jessica Beyer, Saedy Kugler, Bobbie LaBelle, Corrine McGonagle, Hailey Negley, Claire Schoenfield, Mark Selbo, Rachel Selbo, Jena Sorby, Hanna Willems and Tim Willems of Mundelein, IL, John Shubin of Vernon Hills, IL, Jim Behr of Zion, IL and Rebecca Van Sickel of Pleasant Prarie, WI.
Crew and logistical support is being provided by Elizabeth Zimmermann of Grayslake, IL, Christian Kostner of Lake Villa, Tom Beyer and Chuck Fitz-Hugh of Mundelein, IL, Cortney Chene of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Fran Hansen of Wheeling,
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. each day, with a matinee show at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children and seniors. Proceeds will benefit the High School Summer Service Week. Please bring canned goods for a food drive to benefit COOL Food Pantry and Transitional Housing, Waukegan, IL, during all performances.
