CUSD200 English Learner Educators Support Students in Poetry Contest
10 EL educators from CUSD200 supported 20 EL students who placed in a 2015 EL Elementary Poetry Contest.

10 English Learner (EL) Elementary educators from CUSD200 supported 20 EL students who placed in the 2015 Illinois Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages - Bilingual Education (ITBE) Elementary Poetry Contest. This is a poetry contest for current EL students between the years of second and fifth grade. There were a total of 137 entries and 20 of their students placed. Each student and their family will attend an awards ceremony on February 27 where they will be officially recognized. They will also receive individually selected books and a certificate of achievement.
