Wheaton City Council Approves Controversial Subdivision
The developer, Cesario Builders, is proposing nine single-family lots be built at 102, 106 and 108 E. Farnham with plans for an outlet for storm water detention, according to the article.
Those living in the area of the proposed subdivision have long opposed it saying it lacked " conformity with the rest of the block" and could cause traffic woes — councilors have also expressed concern over the aesthetics of the subdivision, according to Suburban Life Publications.
The city council has voted down past proposals by Cesario Builders because they violated city zoning ordinances, according to Suburban Life Publications. The newspaper reports the city could face the chance of being sued if it did not approve the proposed development and there is a good chance the city would lose that litigation.
