WWEA Educators Inspire Excellence at Lowell Elementary in D200
The Wheaton Warrenville Education Association, WWEA, would like to recognize our dedicated educators at Lowell Elementary in District 200.
The Wheaton Warrenville Education Association, WWEA, would like to recognize our dedicated educators at Lowell Elementary in District 200. Here are some examples of their volunteer efforts to support excellence.
Image 1: Mrs. Maryanne Minser, Physical Education educator, spends 12 weeks volunteering her time on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school to supervise floor hockey in the gym for 4th & 5th graders. The kids love it!
Image 2: Mrs. Denise Uthe, 5th grade educator, and Mrs. Laura Baumann, Reading Specialist, volunteer their time to lead Lowell’s Student Council. This year the kids helped:

- launch the week of Kindness Matters.
- collect blankets and dog toys for Players for Pits.

Image 3: Mrs. Jeanne Johannesen, Orchestra educator, has planned outings so students may share their talents, giving their gift of music by playing community service concerts at the DuPage Convalescent Center in the evenings on February 18 and March 7, and at the Carol Stream Community Outreach Center on March 21. The musicians learned special music for these events to include audience sing-alongs. Both locations are excited for our students to be there!
