American Flag Stolen From Oak Street Residence: Cops

Bicycle worth $1,000 stolen from Hibbard Road.

THEFT

A victim discovered between noon on August 31 and 9 a.m. on September 1, unknown offender(s) forcibly removed a metal flag pole with an American flag from a tree in front of a residence in the 800 block of Oak Street. Amount of loss $32.

THEFT

Leonard W. Yates, 60, Chicago was arrested for theft at 8:06 a.m. on September 3 at the Winnetka police station. This arrest was made subsequent to a theft investigation that previously occurred on May 29.

A victim discovered between 8 a.m. on September 3 and 4:15 p.m. on September 4, unknown offender(s) removed an unsecured men’s black “Cannondale” bicycle with yellow lettering from the north bike rack in the 500 block of Hibbard Road. Amount of loss $1,000.

THEFT

A victim discovered between 7 p.m. on September 2 and 8 a.m. on September 4, unknown offender(s) removed an unsecured orange “Nishiki Pueblo” 21 speed boy’s bicycle that was left outside by an unattached garage in the 1000 block of Ash Street. Amount of loss $250.

THEFT

A victim in the 700 block of Elm Street discovered between 8:30 a.m. on September 3 and 5:30 p.m. on September 4, unknown offender(s) removed his secured silver and black “Giant” Revel men’s bicycle from the Green Bay Trail bike rack. Amount of loss $501.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A victim discovered between 9 p.m. on September 4 and 7:30 a.m. on September 5, unknown offender(s) entered his unsecured vehicle parked on his driveway in the 1100 block of Ash Street and rummaged through the contents. Nothing appeared to be missing.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

A victim discovered between 6 p.m. on September 4 and 9:15 a.m. on September 5, unknown offender(s) removed an unsecured dark green Infiniti JX35 with a white tote bag containing the car keys and a women’s “Louis Vuitton” wallet with various credit cards in the 500 block of Rosewood Ave. Amount of loss in excess of $10,000.
